Kia Ora, my name is Casey along with my husband Danny and our tamariki, we would like to introduce ourselves as the whānau (family) behind Mahana NZ - Beautiful Play Things. We are both teachers, myself an ECE teacher and Danny a senior school teacher. It has always been a passion of mine to create beautiful toys and resources for children.
Many of you may have followed us on our journey in establishing Inspired Aotearoa Early Learning Village (you can find it on social media), and in this journey, I found it hard to source beautiful play things that suited our setup. We also were discouraged in the process of establishing our center, that we decided to end our careers as centre owners and focus on things that will bring us joy, but also share our passion of learning in our own way. So Mahana NZ was born!
I found that there were not many options here in Aotearoa, NZ for parents to provide their children will beautiful play things that are unique, bring joy to children's play and enhance the look of a play space or home. We have joined up with some great creators of quality play things as well as designed our own custom products. We are working to create products that tell our story here in Aotearoa, so watch this space!
